Today I have DIFFERENT dimension Big Bang and Orly Saturated. I wanted to try using some nail vinyls again, and while it didn't turn out as well as I hoped it would, I still wanted to show it to you because I like this combination.

Rainbow Honey Waves and Shark Attack
Today I have a manicure using Rainbow Honey Waves and Shark Attack. First of all, how well do the names of these polishes go together?! That was not an intentional part of my pairing these two colors together, just a happy coincidence.
Both of these polishes are from Rainbow Honey's Summer collection called Summer Mixtape. They are both currently available here. I used one coat of Waves, which is a turquoise colored shimmer polish, as the base of this look. The coverage and formula were good. Then I used one coat of Shark Attack on all of my nails. Shark Attack is a blue jelly polish with a ton of glitter in it. There are silver holographic triangles (to represent shark fins), dark blue and light blue small hexes, light blue, dark blue and red shimmer and light blue medium sized squares. No issues on the formula of this one either, I had no trouble getting any of the glitter out of the bottle, I used one coat of HK Girl to seal everything in.

If you are interested in Rainbow Honey's polishes, you should check their site out this weekend. They just added several new polishes, a new limited edition duo for December, and their Mystery Bags are great! I've never been disappointed with the Mystery Bags and should have a review of December's bag up as soon as I get it, If you order now through December 1st, 2014 use the code BLACKFRIDAY20 to get 20% off the polishes, The code does not work on full sets of polish or promotional prices (the Mystery Bags are excluded from this discount, but are a great value on their own. You can check out a review I did on November's bag here if you missed it,) If you pick anything up, or have tried Rainbow Honey before, please let me know!

Zoya Dream Deal
Zoya has a great promo going on right now. If you were thinking about trying them out, now would be a great time to do it! The deal is $20 for three polishes in a gift box. It even comes with a bow, perfect for gift giving!
Zoya polishes normally retail for $9-$10 per bottle, so this is like almost getting one polish free. If you want me to recommend some Zoya polishes to try, I can do that. I have quite a few of them and haven't come across a bad one yet! Just let me know what you'd like to see.
OPI Snow Globetrotter and Comet in the Sky
Today I have two of the glitter topper polishes from the OPI 2014 Gwen Stefani Holiday collection to show you. The first one is Snow Globetrotter. It is a mix of iridescent and white various sized hex glitter in a clear base. I used one dabbed coat of Snow Globetrotter over two coats of OPI Right Off the Bat.

China Glaze Twinkle Collection
I have my picks from the China Glaze Twinkle 2014 Holiday collection to show you today. I have nine of the polishes from the Twinkle collection.
I'd Melt For You is the first polish I have to show you. It is a silver chrome polish. This polish has an ok formula. When applying this polish I found that I had to be very careful, if I swiped the polish too many times I got brushstrokes on the nails. Besides the minor brushstroke issues, I did like the finish of this polish. It almost looks like a mirror on the nails. This is two coats of I'd Melt For You with one coat of HK Girl top coat.

Mickey's Birthday!
Did you know that yesterday was Mickey Mouse's birthday? He was 86 years old. Because I have a 3 year old, I spent much of yesterday watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So in honor of his birthday, I decided to do a Mickey themed manicure.
For this look I used China Glaze Tip Your Hat from the Winter 2014 Twinkle collection. I will have swatches of some of the other Twinkle collection polishes up soon. This is one coat of Tip Your Hat. I used some Mickey shaped glitter that I received from a Glitter Lambs order that I received recently as an accent. (She includes baggies of larger glitter with some of her polishes. It's a really nice feature!) I used one coat of HK Girl to seal everything in.
I think Tip Your Hat is a perfect Mickey red. It had a great formula and I love one coat polishes. Happy Birthday Mickey!

KBShimmer Let's Sleigh Together
I have another KBShimmer Winter polish to show you today! This is Let's Sleigh Together. KBShimmer describes this polish as "a pale gray crelly, this muted polish features hex glitters in green, navy and pale mint, circle glitters in blueberry and micro holographic glitter for extra sparkle and shine."
For this look I wore three coats of Let's Sleigh together with one coat of HK Girl top coat. I think this is a great color combination for Winter. The formula was really good. I didn't have to do hardly any clean up because it went on so well. The base is thick enough to give decent coverage without totally covering up the glitter in the polish and there was a good mix of glitter sizes with each dip in to the polish.
I would recommend this polish to anyone looking for a Winter polish without it being a strictly Christmas polish. I think this could work for many months of the year. Let's Sleigh Together is available on KBShimmer's website here.

KB Shimmer Textured Polishes
I have three of KBShimmer's textured Winter polishes to show you today. There is one textured polish in the collection that I didn't pick up. These three are all made up of a jelly base with tons of glitter. They all dry to a semi-matte textured finish. All of my swatches show two coats of each polish. I did have to do a little dabbing to cover a couple of patchy spots, but otherwise the formula on these polishes was good. For the pictures with top coat I used one coat of HK Girl.

Rainbow Honey November Mystery Bag
I have my November Rainbow Honey mystery bag to show you today. This bag is a subscription service that comes in the mail once a month, Rainbow Honey has two different choices for their mystery bag- full size and mini. They contain the same products but the ones in the mini version are smaller. I purchased the full size version. In the bag there is a variety of nail polish, fragrance and body care items. It is $25/month with free shipping. The mini version is $10/month and shipping is not included. You can find more information on the bags on Rainbow Honey's website. Rainbow Honey's full sized polishes retail for about $10, so this is a great deal.
This months bag came with a cuticle oil (15 ml), a perfume rollerball (12 ml) and a hand sanitizer (4 qz)all in the scent Frozen Flame. Rainbow Honey describes it as "a warm and exotic blend of hibiscus, plumeria, aloe vera and glistening cassis petals." There is also a Lemon Honey lip balm (0.15 oz) and two full sized polishes (15 ml) Aurora and Grayscale.
L-R: Aurora, Grayscale, Cuticle Oil |
Aurora is described as being inspired by the Aurora Borealis and is a "gleaming glitter polish with green and blue flourescent hues, is packed with silver, gold, diamond dust, shimmers and pigments." Grayscale is describes as "a modern graphite lacquer packed with white crushed diamond and silver glitters."
These pictures show two coats of Grayscale on all of my nails except my ring finger which has three coats of Aurora. I really like these polishes together. Aurora gives Grayscale a pop of color that I really like. I tried to put Aurora over Grayscale and it didn't show up as much as I would like, so I decided to use it on it's own. If you decide to try out this mystery bag, let me know. I'd love to hear what you think of it!

KBShimmer Snow Way
Today I have one of KBShimmer's beautiful polishes from her Winter collection. I chose this polish because we are supposed to have our first snow storm of the season tomorrow. I'm not ready for snow, but I'm sure my three year old will love to play in it.
This polish is Snow Way. It is a light blue crelly polish with white matte glitter in it. Along with the matte white glitter there is also holographic shimmer in here as well. It is a perfect Winter polish and reminds me of snow. This is two coats of Snow Way with one coat of HK Gitl top coat.
I think this looksjust like falling snow on my nails! This polish is available on KBShimmer's web site here. I have quite a few more KBShimmer Winter polishes, so keep an eye out for them soon!

Zoya Ignite Fall 2014 Collection
Today I have swatches to show you with polishes from the Zoya Ignite 2014 Fall Collection. The Ignite collection is made up of six polishes that are full of beautiful shimmer. Zoya describes them as liquid metal polishes. This collection can be found here. Each of my swatches shows two coats with no top coat.
First up I have Sansa. Zoya describes Sansa as "a deep eggplant with a gold metallic sparkle, in the flawless, full coverage liquid metal formula."
Look at all that shimmer! |
First up I have Sansa. Zoya describes Sansa as "a deep eggplant with a gold metallic sparkle, in the flawless, full coverage liquid metal formula."
Just look at that shimmer! Beautiful! |
Next is Remy. Zoyz describes Remy as "a brilliant indigo with copper and gold liquid metallic."
Up next is Yuna. Zoya describes Yuna as "a full coverage warm grey with copper and gold liquid metal." Yuna is one of my favorites in this collection, which surprises me because I don't typically gravitate toward grey polish.
Teigen is the next one I have to show you. Zoya describes Teigen as "a full coverage pink-toned cranberry with a copper liquid metal."
This is Autumn. Zoya describes Autumn as "a varnished copper liquid metal." This is another one of my favorites. I just think this is a perfect polish for Fall.
\
India is the final polish I have to show you. Zoya describes India as "a deep, luxurious red with a gold metallic shimmer."
Every single polish in this collection is a must have for me. My favorites are Sansa, Yuna and Autumn. I just can't get enough of this gorgeous shimmer. The formula of all of these polishes is great as well. I had no trouble getting these opaque in two coats and some could be one coaters if they are applied carefully. Which polishes are your favorite in this collection? And don't forget about the BOGO sale Zoya has running right now. You can read more about it in my post here.
