After watching that video, I decided to pick up the Women's Kit, which comes with the Naked Manicure Base Coat, Pink Perfector, White Tip Perfector and Satin Seal Top Coat, and I also picked up the Lavender Perfector. Each of the Perfectors has it's own purpose. The Pink Perfector "provides a healthy pink glow and can also be layered with other shades to brighten and compliment a multitude of skin tones." The White Tip Perfector is used to whiten the tips of your nails and the Lavender Perfector is used to neutralize discoloration. There are several other Perfectors that work well with nail beds with other skin tones. The set also comes with a handy brochure with all of the instructions you need as well as information on what the different combinations of Perfectors are good for.
Here are my nails before using the Naked Manicure System - peeling, yellowed, and not very pretty.
Here are my nails after using the Naked Manicure System - they look so much healthier!
To achieve this look I used one coat of the Naked Manicure Base Coat, one coat of the Lavender Perfector followed by one coat of the Pink Perfector. Then I used the White Tip Perfector on the whites of my nails and finished with a coat of the Satin Seal Top Coat. Before adding the topcoat it looked like the white tips didn't blend in with the rest of my nail at all, but the Satin Seal Top Coat really brought the look together.
I realized after I was finished that I made the tips of my nails too wide and will correct that the next time I use the system. Even with that though, I love how this looks! My nails look so healthy and clean! I usually have polish on all of the time, so this is a different look for me and I appreciate the change. You can take a look at the whole Naked Manicure System on Zoya's website here.
I would love to hear what you think of this system! Is this something you could benefit from? Let me know in the comments below!
Interesting! Thanks for the review, was not quite sure what this kit was all about. Good before and after comparison!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was really impressed at how nice it made my nails look. I was a bit sad to take it off. :0)
DeleteThanks for this review !
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo is it basically a revamped french manicure kit? Because that's what I'm getting out of it .
ReplyDeleteI've never actually done a French manicure before this, but I guess it is similar. The "Perfector" shades are pretty sheer, so you can see your nail bed through them (except the White Tip). I'm not sure how that compares to a typical French manicure. I did really like how nice and clean my nails looked though!
DeleteI'm not in to french manicures so I will probably not pick this up, but if you are it seems like a good choice.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally go for this look either, but I was so curious that I had to try it out. I was really pleasantly surprised. :0)
DeleteIt really does make your nails look healthy. I would much rather wear regular polish though. I don't get painting your nails to make them look like natural nails (also not a traditional french manicure fan)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trade my regular polish for this either, but it's nice to have a different look available, I think. :0)
DeleteI really love how they look, nice and clean and refreshing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :0)
DeleteWOW!! What a difference..that's insane. I need to get this
ReplyDeleteI was a bit skeptical before I tried it out, but I can't argue with these results! I would love to see your nails if you do get it, I love the before and after pictures. :0)
DeleteIt does make quite a difference! Great review. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! Your nails look great!
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to use the white on your tips with this system. I use the base, pink perfecture and glossy seal myself to protect my nails and stop me from biting them, and they look very healthy and pretty. It has become my go to base even for color, dries quick and helps my nails stop peeling and splitting.
