ellagee Crown Jewels

I have another beautiful polish from ellagee to show you today! This is Crown Jewels. I paired it up with a no label polish from a DIFFERENT dimension Grab bag I purchased a few weeks ago.

Crown Jewels is full of pastel holographic and metallic glitter. There is also silver holographic glitter and pink micro glitter in it as well. If you remember my review of Jewel Encrusted, this is similar but with a different color palate. The formula is really good for a full coverage glitter. Glitter doesn't swipe off with your brush strokes and it is opaque in three coats. I used one coat of HK Girl to seal in the glitter and smooth it out. Crown Jewels can be found here.

The DIFFERENT dimension pink polish is very pretty and delicate. I don't know if this was ever released (her Grab bags could include discontinued, current, new, or exclusive polishes) but it is really nice! It is a light pink base color with a ton of light blue shimmer. I was surprised to find that it dried matte. I did top coat this to bring out the shimmer, which I think it so pretty! This is three coats with top coat. You can find more information about the Grab bags here. I have another one coming to me, so you can expect a review of that soon!

I really like both of these polishes but I'm not sure how I feel about them paired together. I wanted to show off Crown Jewels by using a light polish on the rest of my nails and I don't know if this was exactly the right one. I'd love to hear what you think! What would you pair Crown Jewels with and what do you think of this mystery polish? Let me know in the comments below!

    1. I like them both but I think Crown Jewels is a little more subtle and wearable...if you can say that about a glitter bomb! :0)

  2. Ooh I love both of the polishes, they're beautiful!! But you're right, I don't think they play together very well. Do you think the light pink polish is similar to Essie's Just Stitched from the cashmere matte collection?

    1. Yes, I would say they are similar. This one had a better formula and it is a little lighter. The shimmer on this one looks almost blue-green when I compare it to the blue shimmer in Just Stitched.

  6. I am dying over these polishes with a blue shimmer undertone!! I love it so much, and I am not a fan of pink! I think you could tie these in a bit if you left them like they are, but used a french tip vinyl vertically on your nail and painted a swoosh of Crown Jewels on one side of your pinky and index fingers. Does that make sense? Lol I love this pair!

  19. I agree--they're both beautiful, but I'm not sure pairing them is the best way to display their beauty. The look is nice as is, but I'd love to see crown jewels paired with a bolder color. :)
