Daily Hues Hawks and Sinful Colors Shamrockin'

Today I have another manicure that could be considered a St. Patrick's Day look, but I think of it as more of a Spring look. I used Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Hawks and Sinful Colors Shamrockin'.

Daily Hues Hawks is a beautiful light green holographic polish. The formula on this polish is excellent. I did two coats for complete coverage. The holo in this polish shows up in almost any light. It is just wonderful. If you're interested in any of the Daily Hues nail lacquers, she is having a 50% off sale through today (March 20th) on any order over $15. Head over to dailyhues.com and use the code 50off if you're interested in any of Jenn's gorgeous polishes!

Some of the little hex glitters in Sinful Colors Shamrockin' are almost the exact same color as Hawks, so I thought it they'd coordinate really well. I was right! Shamrockin' is a clear based glitter topper with large white flower glitter and small dark green, light green and white hex glitters in it. I didn't have any problems with the formula of this one either. I had to do a tiny bit of fishing for the flowers, but if I swirled my brush, I was usually able to get one out. I topcoated everything with ellagee's Glass topcoat. Since the name of this polish is Shamrockin' I would've thought that it would've had shamrock glitter in it, but I suppose flower glitters are more versatile for Spring.

All in all, I really like this combination. I love Hawks. I can see myself using it as a base for some simple nail art and using it on it's own again. I did get several compliments on this combination when I was out and about with it on, which always makes me feel good! I'd love to hear what you think of this look in the comments below!

  7. Great combo!! These are perfect together!! I still laugh at Sinful Color's attempt at trying to pass of little white flowers as shamrocks :-P

    1. Yeah, I thought it was strange. They are clearly not shamrocks!
