Zoya Satin Topcoat

Today I have a quick post for you using the Zoya Satin Topcoat. This isn't available on the Zoya website yet, I received it as a gift with purchase at Ulta last week. (I actually went twice to take advantage of the promo, so be on the look out for a giveaway coming soon!) The promotion Ulta had running at the time was that if you purchased two Zoya polishes, you received this set of a Satin Topcoat and a Satin Cream lipstick free. How could I resist? :0)

To show you the topcoat, I painted four different Zoya shades on my nails and I will show you pictures before and after applying the top coat. The polishes I used are: index-Kimber, middle-Marley, ring-Thandie, and pinky-Willa (my favorite one coat black polish).

I really like how the Satin Topcoat makes the polishes look. When you apply the topcoat the polishes take on a finish that is in between a glossy and a matte finish. Something a bit unusual, and I like that now I can use any polish I have and replicate this finish. Not surprisingly, it makes the polishes look similar to the Naturel Satin collection released earlier this year. I was really impressed with that collection and this fits in well with it.

As for the lipstick, I chose not to swatch it because I'm not much of a lipstick wearer so I'll probably gift this to someone. It does look like a great shade though. If this lipstick is something you are interested in, Zoya has a promo running right now where this lipstick is the free gift. They just started selling the Naturel Satin polishes (you can check out my swatches of them here) in minis and if you purchase three of them and use code MINI3, this lipstick will be added to your cart for free. (The code also makes the shipping free!) I think it's a great way to try out the Satin polishes and lipstick. You can check out all of the details of the promo here

I'd love to hear what you think of this topcoat. Is is something you'd use? How about the promo? Something you think you'd take advantage of? Let me know in the comments below!

  14. I like how it's in between matte and shiny. And it's a great way to topcoat the Satin finish polishes without changing the way they look.

  16. I didn't pick up the satin topcoat. I have a few matte topcoat and it feels so close in finish that it feels unneeded for my collection.
