Mickey's Birthday!

Did you know that yesterday was Mickey Mouse's birthday? He was 86 years old. Because I have a 3 year old, I spent much of yesterday watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So in honor of his birthday, I decided to do a Mickey themed manicure.

For this look I used China Glaze Tip Your Hat from the Winter 2014 Twinkle collection. I will have swatches of some of the other Twinkle collection polishes up soon. This is one coat of Tip Your Hat. I used some Mickey shaped glitter that I received from a Glitter Lambs order that I received recently as an accent. (She includes baggies of larger glitter with some of her polishes. It's a really nice feature!) I used one coat of HK Girl to seal everything in.

I think Tip Your Hat is a perfect Mickey red. It had a great formula and I love one coat polishes. Happy Birthday Mickey!

Zoya Posh

I have Zoya Posh on my nails today. This is another one of Zoya's beautiful Matte Velvet polishes.  I can not believe how much I love these polishes. I was not a fan of matte polishes but these changed my mind!

Red, White and Blue for Veteran's Day

I have a red, white and blue manicure to show you today. I had this on yesterday in honor of Veteran's Day. I was going for an abstract American flag design.

Orly Smolder and Bling

Today I have a manicure that is perfect for Fall or the Holidays.  I used two Orly polishes for this look. The main color, Smolder, is from Orly's Fall 2012 collection called Fired Up. The gold accent nail is Bling, which is from Orly's Winter 2014 collection called Sparkle. I have all of the polishes from the Sparkle collection and will probably show you the rest in an upcoming post.

Julep Joyce

My polish today is Julep Joyce. This is a beautiful polish. I did an accent nail with a couple of nail gems, which made it a really pretty, simple manicure.
