Sally Hansen Miracle Gel System Swatch and Review

*Press Sample*

Today I have a swatch and review of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel System to share with you. According to Sally Hansen The Miracle Gel system "delivers 2x the volume to your manicure - creating dramatically fuller-looking nails with a high-gloss mirror shine finish." They have released a new and improved top coat along with 20 new vibrant colors.

The shade I chose was Miss Wanderlust, which is a coral jelly polish packed with silver holographic glitter in two sizes. The formula on the polish was very good. It was easy to apply, it had good glitter payoff and I didn't need to do any glitter placement. The application was also very smooth and even. I did two coats with one coat of the Miracle Gel topcoat for these swatches.

If you're not familiar to the Miracle Gel system, it claims to be the next best thing to a regular gel manicure. This system does not need an LED or UV light to cure the topcoat. "Natural light creates a manicure that resembles a UV/LED cured gel polish and up to 14 days of color and shine." As for wear time for me - I got two days out of this manicure before it started to chip. Definitely not close to the 14 days that some people get. However, I know that polish wear time can have a lot to do with the chemistry between the wearer's body and the polish, so I don't fault Sally Hansen for that. It was very shiny when it dried and removed like a typical glitter polish with normal nail polish remover.

The one negative I have (and is just a personal issue, it probably isn't an issue for everyone) was that it took a while for it to dry so that I wouldn't get dents in the polish. Once it was dry, it still felt sticky - if that makes sense. If I would accidentally rub two of my nails together I would get a weird sticky feeling instead of the normal smooth feeling I typically get with polish. It did eventually go away, but I would say it took a few hours.

Miss Wanderlust is a very pretty coral polish, and if you like the Miracle Gel system or want to give it a try, I say go for it! I've seen quite a few reviews that have said they get great wear out of this polish. The Miracle Gel System is available at chain drugstores and mass retailers nationwide now. The Miracle Gel Colors and Top Coat cost $9.99 each and the limited edition duos, which consist of one color and one bottle of topcoat, are $14.99.

I would love to hear what you think of this shade or the Miracle Gel system in the comments down below! Also, don't forget about my giveaway that is running right now! If you haven't seen it, you can find my post about it here!

*This product was sent to me for review. Receiving a product for review does not affect whether I like the item or not. This is my 100% honest opinion.*

  1. I haven't tried the system yet. I am too worried about being tied to using a particular top coat.

    1. I think it is good for people that don't want to polish their nails very often. Maybe someone just getting into polish.

  2. The coral polish is fun and bright :) For the top coat I will only use my beloved HKGirl because my nails needs to be dry in less than 5 minutes

  4. That is a really gorgeous color! I haven't tried any of these yet, even though I generally like Sally Hansen polishes. Need to remedy that!

  6. Have tried this with two different colors. Absolutely hate this line. Long dry time. Chipped in 2 days. Very expensive for such poor performance. Will never purchase again.. Am a NP collector with over 2500 bottles. This stuff sucks.

    1. I'm sorry this didn't work out for you! It had average wear time for me. Sometimes some polishes just don't cooperate with our body chemistry. I did really like the color even if the formula wasn't the best for me.
