ellagee LE Black Jelly polishes

Today I have three LE polishes from ellagee to show you. All three of these polishes are black jelly bases with different colors of shimmer and microglitter. All of the polishes have one coat of ellagee's Glass topcoat.

First up is Starlight. It is a black jelly base with gold shimmer and green to gold shifting microglitter. These are so pretty! This is three coats on its own, but when I wear them again I will be layering one coat over a black base. Because they have a jelly formula they didn't get quite as opaque on their own as I would've liked them to be. You can find Starlight here.

Midnight is a black jelly base with a turquoise shimmer and a blue to green to magenta shifting microglitter. For this swatch I did one coat over black on my index finger (which is the macro) and the rest is three coats on its own. You can find Midnight here.

Last up is Moonlight, a black jelly base with blue shimmer and blue to purple to pink microglitter. All three of these polishes just look like they glow on the nail. This is also one coat over black on my index finger and three coat on the rest. You can find Moonlight here.

I really prefer these over black. The deep background shows off the glitter shift better than the jelly finish does, in my opinion. I do understand why she put them in the jelly base though. I'm sure the glitter shows up much better in a jelly finish than it does in a creme finish polish. For the black, I used Zoya Willa, which only needs one coat to be opaque. These polishes are part of Laura's single batch limited edition polishes so if you like them, head on over and pick them up! Once they're gone, they're gone. I love how the glitter glows through the black and really does look like a night sky!

I'd love to hear what you think of these polishes. Let me know in the comments below!

    1. Yes, the black really allows the glitter to show up better. I love the deeper purple and blue in Moonlight. :0)
