ellagee Neon Shock Collection Review

Today I have the ellagee Neon Shock collection to show you. This is a collection of three neon jelly polishes with holographic microglitter sprinkled throughout them.

Each time I've ordered from ellagee, Laura (the maker of ellagee polishes) has included a magnet with a different polish related saying on it. I think these are so cute and a nice added touch. She also sells them on her site if there is a saying that you like that isn't the one she is currently sending out. This is the one I received with this order.

So cute!

The first polish in this trio is Buzz, a neon pink jelly polish with holo glitter throughout it. The formula on all of these polishes is great! They all had a perfect consistency - not too thick or too thin. I didn't have to do any clean up with any of these polishes, which was really nice. I did three thin coats for each of these, but I think if you did thicker coats you could get the same look with just two. I topcoated each of then with ellagee's Glass topcoat.

Up next is Jolt, a neon turquoise polish with holographic microglitter.  This is such a pretty color. For some reason this one looks much more sheer in my pictures than the other ones. To my eyes, it was a little more sheer than the other two, but not nearly as much as the pictures would have you believe. I also think that these polishes would look great layered over other colors.

The last polish in this trio is Zap, a neon fuchsia jelly polish with holographic microglitter. This one is gorgeous. It's the one I decided to leave for last so I could wear it as a full manicure. All three of these did dry to a bit of a matte finish, which is typical for a neon polish, so I topped them with one coat of ellagee Glass topcoat.

I really like all three of these polishes. I think the addition of the holo microglitter makes them unique to other jelly or neon polishes I've seen recently. The three polishes in the Neon Shock collection can be purchased individually or as a trio. If you purchase them as the trio there is a small reduction in price. These polishes and the cute magnets can be found on ellagee's website here

I'd love to hear what you thought of this collection. Do you have a favorite out of the trio? Let me know in the comments below!

    1. Thank you! I did three thin coats but I think two thicker coats would give the same effect. :0)

  2. I love them all! I'm a sucker for neons AND holo! I would probably layer them though as I'm not a fan of VNL.
