Colores de Carol Happy Hour collection

I have a really fun collection from Colores de Carol to share with you today! This collection has seven holographic polishes that are all named after different drinks. Fair warning, this is a picture heavy post! All of the pictures are taken in direct light to show off the holographic beauty of these polishes.

First up is Silver Cloud Martini. This is a really nice silver holographic polish. I used three coats (all swatches in this post have topcoat) for opacity. The formula on this is good, not too thick or thin.

Up next is my favorite out of the collection, Sour Grape Bellini. This is a gorgeous holographic polish that falls somewhere between a purple and navy blue. The deep base color really shows off the holo beautifully. This is two coats of Sour Grape Bellini.

Sea Mist Sunrise is a really nice sky blue holographic polish. I really think this is a beautiful color. I'm naturally drawn to blues, so this is right up my alley. This is three coats of Sea Mist Sunrise.

Mint Mojito is a grass green holographic polish. Like the other ones, this has a good formula. A little thicker than Silver Cloud Martini, but not difficult to work with at all. This is two coats of Mint Mojito.

Pineapple Margarita is one of those polishes that I wanted to love but unfortunately I don't. I'm just not a big yellow lover. This was not quite opaque in three coats and I couldn't get the holo to come out for the pictures. It is a really nice, bright yellow that I think would look great on other skintones, just not my own.

Papaya Saki is a red-toned orange holographic polish. This has a good formula and is opaque in two coats. I watched JessFACE90's live swatch and review video (which you can check out here - she does fantastic reviews!) and she experienced some staining from this one while swatching it on a bare nail. I always use a base coat and did not experience any staining.

The last polish in this collection is Strawberry Bourbon Lemonade. On the website, this is described as a medium pink polish, but on me it definitely looks like a red holographic polish. The holo really shines through this one. This is two coats of Strawberry Bourbon Lemonade.

I think this is a really fun collection for Summer. In general, all of the polishes had a good formula and were easy to work with. These polishes are all sold individually as well as in a set. You can check them out here. Also, now through Sunday May 10th you can receive 20% off of any $20 or more purchase with the code MOMMY. What a great time to pick some of these up! I'd love to hear what you think of this collection and which ones are your favorites! Let me know in the comments below.

    1. Yeah, the holo was stronger in some than others. I wish I would've had a sunny day though, I think they would've showed up a bit better that way.
